Er what happened to the textures? they look last gen in this vid.
Is has very little to do with Microsoft but everything to do with the facts that one of squares main guys left to form mistwalker / the ps3 is taking time to program and the white engine had to be rebuilt. Add to that squares financial problems with funding the game and its not surprising its taken so long.
I dont get it everyone moans about the graphics in gears because of the unreal engine then this game appears which looks very similar ( though lets face it not as good) and everyone says its the best thing ever... your a funny lot.
Thing is the reason it went multi platfrom is because the game was costing to much to develop. If it remained Ps3 only there would be no way to recoup the cost.
So if it hadn't have come to the 360 the chances are it wouldn't have come at all.
Saying that it still might not judging by recent events.
Im not bothered really the last few FF games underwhelmed me and seem very dated compared to the likes of mass effect.
Graphics look good but i think the turning of the character is to slow in combat. Need to speed that up a bit.
Ive been playing the beta for a couple of weeks now and have been impressed with what people have come up with.
I enjoy the game but only in small doses like a couple of levels here and there. The gameplay doesn't really grab me but i enjoy seeing what people have designed and that keeps me coming back to it.
As a game i wouldn't say its the greatest thing ever by far but as a piece of software for people who like to create its outstanding.
Thing is Halo is great, its proven. Killzone has everything to prove, the graphics look good and im hoping it will be great but the first killzone had good graphics for the time and look how that turned out.
What most people don't seem to realise is the reason halo is so highly regarded isnt because of the graphics ( though they are good) but because of the gameplay. Nail that and you have a game.

Thing is if it doesn't sell on the ps3 they might cancel the sequel for the ps3.
Development for this was pc then 360 then ps3. So we should all be happy. And its great on all of them.
Day one buy... oh yes.
I love the ps3 but if they don't drop the price they will get screwed by microsoft and nintendo come christmas.

I can't belive Uncharted didn't sell more really, just over a million copies is to low for this game. Go buy it if you haven't played it.
Im really looking forward to this. Uncharted was to much shooting not enough exploring for me and the DLC is very welcome. I was getting the 360 version anyway but wouldn't even consider the ps3 version now.
Am i bothered about paying for the DLC.. no. This was made especially for the market place ( unlike some content) and wouldn't have been made otherewise. Companies don't do this extra stuff for free you know, they have to get paid.

Because regardless of the graphics its still a good game. I got it on xbox but if i only had a ps3 i would still get it.
I liked segas machines but trying to enter the market with a handheld is foolish i think. They just don't have the financial muscle to compete. As for consoles, theres no chance you need billions to launch one of those and sega arn't exactly rolling in it. Didn't they get bank rolled by Microsoft a few years back?

Anyway i can't see it being multi player at all. How the hell would that work, it would ruin the story thread and change the way the game is played completely. Sounds like bull to me.
Also last time i checked xbox had clawed back some of the lead they lost to Sony this year since there price cut. I think if Sony don't want to see the ps3 in third place this christmas they will have to drop the price.
True but thats with the Hd. And general people don't take things like the price of Xboxlive into account. I know people who have brought 360's for there kids and have no intention of putting them on the net.
Parents buying consoles for there kids just wanna buy them a machine that will play the majortiy of games without all the extras.

Though graphically nothing special ( quite jaggie on the edges) the game does look like fun and kudos for trying a different approach, just hope i don't get motion sickness on it.
Disagree if you want but the textures look like crap in this video. Im looking forward to the game big time but this vid makes it look bad.
